The Trust sponsors four foundation programs to promote affordable housing and homeownership in Orange County.  They are:

• Homeownership Lending – The Trust provides residents with financing options in the form of lower cost 2nd mortgages and down payment assistance to help fulfill their dream of becoming homeowners.

• Development Lending – The Trust offers predevelopment financing to builders and non-profit entities involved in the development of affordable housing to assist in the acquisition of land and pre-construction activities that will boost the inventory of lower cost housing options.

• Education  -- In cooperation with other Orange County business, academic, government and housing entities, the Housing Trust sponsors conferences and workshops that provide information and insight into housing issues and programs.  The Trust hosts the annual Orange County Housing Summit and also sponsors a series of workshops focused on housing and the impacts of the current economy and market conditions.

• Partnerships and Collaboration --  The Housing Trust has established partnerships and collaborations with several of Orange County’s leading non-profit entities to pursue policies and initiatives designed to increase the inventory of affordable housing and the ability of county residents to become homeowners.
